Alone in the woods, Scrappy evaded us for months until he appeared at the local school where we were able to trap him.
After a visit to the vet and a groomer, Scrappy has found his forever home with a loving family.
Oden was discovered in bad shape with a horrible case of mange.
Today, Oden is healed, healthy, happy and loved in his new home.
Heidi was found in a ditch after being hit by an ATV. She was unable to move with neurological damage.
After intense medical treatment and a lot of prayers, Heidi is almost fully recovered aside from a slight wobble. She has been adopted by the perfect family
We named this beautiful boy Trapp. We don't know how long he was alone and suffering with the trap crushing his leg.
Sadly, not all stories have a happy ending. Trapp was too far gone and crossed the rainbow bridge not long after surgery.
Scarlett came to us as an obvious victim of abuse and neglect. The pain and cruelty she suffered is unimaginable.
But the resilience of a dogs spirit should be an inspiration to us all. Scarlett's wounds have healed and in the loving hands of her new family she is thriving! This is what life should be.
Pearl lived her life suffering with a horrible skin allergy and a genetic eye condition.
Today Pearl is in a wonderful foster home while she undergoes treatment for her allergies and eye procedures.
Sweet little Dixie and her sister were wondering the highway and hit by a car. Dixie had both back legs broken and her sister suffered head trauma.
The road back for Dixie was long but her determination was inspiring!
With love and much medical support Dixie emerged victorious and can teach us all something about resilience.
Badger, the white pup, is one of 9 feral dogs that we rescued off of a property where the owner had passed away.
Although many of the dogs rescued that day are not adoptable and will remain with us, Badger overcame his rough start in life and has been adopted into a wonderful home.
This handsome boy who we named Bullet was shot in the back and underwent surgery to repair the damage. He came through it like a champ and is now part of a family who cherishes him.
Prada came to us as a stray who gave birth to a litter of 9 puppies. Soon after we took in a litter of 6 from a mom who passed away.
Prada jumped into action and nursed those pups as her own. Prada was quickly adopted by her foster family and all of her pups were adopted into great homes up North!
Tragically, this mom named Karma passed away not long after this picture was taken. She gave birth to 9 puppies of which only 3 survived and came into our care.
This beautiful girl came to us about the time Karma passed away. She gave birth to 6 beautiful puppies and took on Karma's pups as well.
The story of two moms and a beautiful blended litter. All of these babies were adopted into wonderful homes up North.
This beautiful mom of three was caring for her pups with her owner in the hospital.
In an unparalleled act of cruelty, someone came onto the property and super glued the puppies mouths shut.
We were contacted and immediately took the pups in for medical attention. The person who did this has never been found.
All three pups recovered and were placed in the loving homes they so deserve.
We took in this beautiful girl who we named Serenity. She delivered 11 beautiful puppies and then suddenly broke with Parvo. Everyone was quickly taken to the vet for treatment.
Despite all of their efforts, the puppies also broke with parvo and three precious babies were lost. Parvo is a devastating disease that strikes without notice.
